Our Story

Syracuse Gold Shop by Irene Papas is a continuation of three generations in 
jewellery beginning with Rex Jewellers, opened by my grandparents on Smith 
Street, Collingwood in 1970.

The brand returns to the traditional way of buying and wearing gold. Each piece 
is handcrafted in Italy in solid 9 and 18-carat gold, they’re made in limited runs 
with a focus on weight, quality and permanence.

Syracuse Gold Shop considers jewellery as a constant - they’re pieces to live 
in, not precious in the delicate sense, but even more precious because they live 
with you.
